I have worked with this guy Dannie Gayheart.
I can't believe he would ever murder anyone.

HOWE — A body unearthed in a cornfield Tuesday afternoon northeast of Howe may be that of a missing Sturgis, Mich., woman.
Although investigators have not positively identified the body, they believe the remains are those of 79-year-old Rosemary Reinel, who was reported missing Sept. 22, state police said.
Indiana State Police were called to a farm near LaGrange C.R. 250E in northern LaGrange County near the state line about 4:36 p.m. Tuesday after a farmer partially unearthed the body with equipment he was using to harvest corn.
Because the body has been exposed to the weather, a forensic anthropologist and associate professor of biology at the University of Indianapolis has been asked to assist in the investigation. Steve Nawrocki, Ph.D., will assist with the excavation of the body and is expected to arrive at the cornfield site Thursday morning. Deputies from the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department will secure the site until then.
Dannie Gayheart, 53, formerly of Rome City, has been described by police as a “person of interest” in the case. He is being held in Sarasota, Fla., on unrelated charges after allegedly driving the missing woman’s car from Michigan to Florida. Reinel’s car was last seen leaving a Sturgis apartment complex on Sept. 20. Gayheart has not been charged in Reinel’s disappearance.
Police in Sarasota are holding Gayheart on a federal charge of unlawful flight to avoid confinement, a Michigan parole violation for leaving the state and an assault charge in Sarasota.
According to police, Gayheart had helped Reinel get a trailer hitch for her car a few days before she disappeared. Gayheart and a second man described in an area newspaper as Reinel’s “fishing buddy” were seen with Reinel at her apartment complex on Sept. 19. At that time, Reinel was heard saying she had cleaned out her bank account in preparation of a move, a witness told police.
Gayheart, who graduated from East Noble High School in 1970 and lives in St. Joseph County, Mich., was paroled from a Michigan prison about a month ago, according to an area newspaper. He had been sent to prison for attempting to sell four parcels of real estate that he did not own for $100,000 in 2000.
A press conference is scheduled at the LaGrange County Jail at 10 a.m. Thursday to discuss the investigation, which is being led by Indiana State Police Detective Jeff Boyd. Assisting in the investigation are personnel from the LaGrange County Coroner’s Office as well as the sheriff’s department, Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Sturgis Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigations-Kalamazoo.
