Just doesn't stop with all of our bad luck... Hubby fell off the ladder carrying a bundle of shingles landing on his shoulder hitting it on cement blocks... Prayers for you dear for your surgery Friday...

Hubby' s surgery went well. He had several things wrong but the specialist felt good about all the repairs done. My hubby has a wrap that was sent home with us that replaces ice. It keeps a flow of water wit a temp of 43 plus it has compression cuff for both of his legs. It helps by keeping the swelling down and helps to limit the pain that goes along with the shoulder surgery. He's only taken 2 pain pills. He had a great surgeon. He takes care of Notre Dame sports injuries.

Hubby didn't listen to good to the doctor and he has to have his r shoulder repaired again. My dear hubby is getting nervous... 4 more days and he has his shoulder surgery and he'll be laid up for quite a while.. Once he heals then he has his ACL surgery on his left knee...

My husband's surgery went well... He had to spend 1 hr 45 minutes in recovery because he couldn't get warm... He doesn't remember that part . He also was hard to wake up... A extra time in the bay area to make sure he was alert enough to go home...
This is what I read on the internet about what happened to my husband following surgery...
During surgery under general anesthesia, thermal imbalances within the patient’s body are common. These imbalances are caused by a variety of factors, including exposure to a cold operating environment and heat loss from surgical incisions. Perhaps the most important thermal imbalance is hypothermia, resulting initially from redistribution of body heat from the core to the periphery caused by impaired thermoregulatory responses due to anesthetics. There is lack of clarity regarding the contribution made by heat loss from the exposed wound to the total heat balance in humans because of technical difficulties

Hubby is doing well... Some pain when he doesn't take his medicine around the clock... His leg behind is calf is really bothering him... Hopefully it's not a blood clot... It's the same leg that his knee has a ACL tear ....

My husband pain and inflammation of his knee is caused from a meniscus tear, not a ACL tear and he'll have it taken care of after his shoulder is healed...
